What we collect

You can browse city and landmark guides without creating an account. Depending on how you use the site, we may process:

• Waitlist details — your email address, the time you joined, and whether you asked for optional product updates.
• Messages you send us — if you email support or privacy, we keep what you send so we can reply.
• Technical and usage data — for example IP address, browser or device type, pages viewed, and approximate timing of visits. Some of this is generated automatically by your browser when you load pages.
• Cookie and similar preferences — whether you accepted or declined analytics (see Cookies below).
• Analytics events (only with consent) — such as which pages or features people use, so we can improve the guides.

We do not ask for payment card details on this site. We do not knowingly collect special category data (for example health or political opinions).

Why we use your data

• To run and secure the website and keep it available.
• To send waitlist / launch messages you requested.
• To send occasional product updates only if you opted in — you can unsubscribe any time.
• With your consent, to understand how the site is used (analytics) so we can improve content and usability.
• To answer your questions and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data.

Legal bases

• Consent — waitlist sign-up, optional marketing emails, and non-essential analytics cookies.
• Legitimate interests — keeping the site secure, preventing abuse, and basic operational logs needed to deliver pages.
• Legal obligation — where we must keep or disclose information to comply with the law.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already happened lawfully.

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Under the ePrivacy rules and GDPR, non-essential cookies need your consent before they are set. You can use the site if you decline analytics.

Strictly necessary

These help the site work as you expect. They do not require consent.

• Consent preference — remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics (cookie name: ttf_consent), typically for up to 365 days, so we do not ask on every visit.

Analytics (optional)

Only after you choose Accept analytics on our banner. These help us see aggregated usage (for example pages viewed and basic interaction events). If you decline, we do not enable analytics storage for that choice.

We do not currently use advertising or marketing cookies on this site. If that changes, we will update this notice and ask for consent first.

How to change your mind

Clear the site cookies in your browser (or delete ttf_consent) and reload the page — the banner will appear again so you can accept or decline. You can also block cookies in your browser settings; some features may then work less smoothly.

Who we share data with

We share personal data only when needed for the purposes above:

• Providers who host email, analytics (with consent), or operate the website on our behalf, under instructions that limit how they may use your data.
• Travel or booking sites if you click a link to them — that visit is then under their privacy policy, not ours.
• Authorities or advisers if the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.

International transfers

How long we keep data

• Waitlist emails — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until the waitlist purpose ends.
• Support emails — for as long as needed to handle your request and related records.
• Consent preference cookie — up to the lifetime described above, or until you clear it.
• Analytics data — only while we need it to understand site use, and only for visitors who consented.
• Security / access logs — for a limited period for security and abuse prevention.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR / EU GDPR you may have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Ask us to erase data (in certain cases)
• Restrict or object to certain processing
• Receive data you provided in a portable format (in certain cases)
• Withdraw consent where we rely on consent
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Children

This site is aimed at adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Guides may link to maps, tickets, stays, or other third-party sites. Their privacy practices are their own. Read their notices before you share data with them.

Changes

We may update this notice when our practices or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you should review the new notice.
